The highlights from our English Wine Extravaganza in Exeter. On Saturday 18th June 2022 we kick started English Wine Week with a wonderful event at the Rougemont Hotel.
Winemakers and producers from across the UK joined us, with wine tasting from Sharpham, Calancombe, Huxbear, Lyme Bay, Hattingley Valley, Knightor, Gusbourne, Langham and others.
The day included masterclasses from Oz Clarke, Susy Atkins, Mike Best MW and Stephen Barrett.
The event culminated in “The Judgement of Exeter”, presented by Pip Vanham, our five experts decided whether English or French wine was the best. The result? A 2-1 win to England.
