Welcome everyone to a New series where my friends and I search for the most incredible abandoned places in France. One of these amazing places would be the Chateau of 1000 rooms, a massive Mansion steeped in history. The mansion dates back to the early 1700s and the family has owned and used the land for 500 years. The first building was constructed in 1143 and it was upon these foundations the chateau was built. The architecture is made of golden sandstone and dark slated roofs. The building has been untouched for over 200 years and has since been maintained in all its glory. For a brief period, it was used as a hunting lodge and visitors were invited to lavish parties that would showcase the family’s wealth and power to my surprise, everything is still left untouched as it is. Inside you will find over 25 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, many of the rooms are covered in bespoke tapestries and prized antiques with secrets behind every door. Although, abandoned for many years the place is currently being sold for more than 20 million dollars and is one of the only properties to include a hidden theatre inside & its sprawling 12 acres of land.
