In this video, I show you how to refinish antique dining chairs by refinishing the wood & reupholstering the seats. These ones had been in my family for over 75 years and needed to be freshened up! Here is a list of tools and materials needed for this project:
TOOLS:
-Liquid Varnish stripper & Steel wool (or scraping tool)
-Fine grit sandpaper
-Scissors
-Heavy Duty Stapler & staples
-Gloves & old rags-Long Kitchen Knife
-Long Nose Locking Pliers
-Hammer
-Brush for applying stain
MATERIALS:
-Stain of choice
-Upholstery fabric (& Dacron, if needed)
-1″ Foam
