Atchafalaya Restaurant is very popular for brunch as seen by the frequently large groups of people around this popular spot. Atchafalaya Restaurant is located in the Uptown neighborhood of New Orleans at 901 Louisiana Avenue which is at the intersection of Louisiana Avenue and Laurel Street and is about 15 minutes and 4 miles away from the New Orleans French Quarter. This restaurant is named after the Atchafalaya River which is the largest river bayou in the USA and the fifth largest river in North America by discharge. This is one of the few spots in New Orleans that serves brunch everyday they are open and their weekend & Monday brunch times are especially popular. I’ve been eating at Atchafalaya since before Hurricane Katrina when it was a completely different place that offered great meat and three vegetable plates that I really used to enjoy and since then it has evolved into more of a fine dining environment. Finding the best New Orleans food is no easy task as most of New Orleans top restaurants all have amazing food so finding the best places in to eat in New Orleans often ends up being most of the food New Orleans offers.
