French Onion Soup
4-5 medium onions your choice I like yellow onion
2 thyme sprigs
2 bay leaves
2qt beef broth
1 cup of dry white wine
1 tbsp sherry
3-4 tbsp of flour
1 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 stick butter
Croutons
Provolone cheese
Cut onions thin but not see thru thin and set aside. In a soup pot on medium to high heat melt butter and put in cut onions add salt and pepper and sauté until onions are translucent add in flour and mix in with onions add white wine and mix add the 2 qt of beef broth, thyme and bay leafs salt and pepper to taste. Turn heat to medium low and simmer for about 20-30 minutes. Using a soup spoon spoon out soup In bowl add croutons
top with cheese of your choice (I like and use provolone). Melt cheese under broiler remove and Enjoy!!!!! Thanks for your support and time!!!!
