As we know April is stress awareness month. So this month I’m sharing tips that can help us to deal with stress
Last time we spoke, we discussed our ‘Happy Triggers’ little things that we can do to help us lift our mood when we feel stressed. We looked at the results from a recent survey to see what people voted as their mood boosters and the top one was listening to music.
So following on from that – Further research shows that music has a real impact on us. Background music has a surprisingly strong influence on consumer behavior. For example, one study (North, et al., 1999) exposed customers in a supermarket drinks section to either French music or German music. The results showed that French wine outsold German wine when French music was played, whereas German wine outsold French wine when German music was played.
Music can naturally target the dopamine systems of our brains which makes us feel good. So today I’m suggesting that you listen to your favourite music to lift your mood and make you feel good! – Think back to when you were little, what song made you feel great?
