Chicken Fricassee – Delicious French Chicken Recipe!
A traditional French dish, this is essentially a quick chicken stew with a creamy white mushroom sauce. it’s much faster to make!
This is a wonderful rustic family meal that’s quick enough for midweek, or to elevate to restaurant level by using homemade chicken stock.
The chicken is lovely (juicy, golden brown, etc etc) … but this dish is all about the creamy white sauce!!!
Ingredients:
2 chicken drumsticks
2 chicken thighs , skin-on and bone-in
salt / black pepper
50g butter
150g white mushrooms (4 to 6 large)
1 onions
2 garlic cloves
1/2 tsp cumin (optional)
1/2 tsp dried thyme
15g flour
450ml chicken stock
1 tbsp parsley , chopped
100ml cream
