WOW! This has been one of the coolest experiences I have ever lived. I’m so fortunate that Chris and his family have been so welcoming and friendly since the day we arrived to Bordeaux, France.

Chris is as excited to share his French culture, as I am to learn it. It was Chris idea to cook together, and obviously I had to make a video about it. This is not the first time Chris cooks for me, I have already tried his bœuf bourguignon, foie gras, pain d’epices , and even home made “medicine” for heart burn.

Chris and I cooked traditional choucroute from Alsace (given that some relatives are from this French region). The ingredients used were: smoked and semi salted pork, Monbeliard, Frankfurt and Strasbourg sausages, onion, garlic, spices, and Gewurztraminer wine.
