Italian wines are loved all over the world. Along with other few regions, Piedmont, in the north-western part of Italy, has a long and celebrated winemaking tradition and produces some of its best wines.
Here Nebbiolo is by far the grape variety which had the most success: we range from the best Barolo and Barbaresco wines, all the way to the less known sub-regions close to the mountains, where Nebbiolo finds a different terroir with really interesting results.
Piedmont is also pretty close to France, and the two great winemaking regions have a long standing relationship which dates back centuries. Piedmont is actually the first area in Italy where innovators tried to produce sparkling wines from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, starting a sort of noble battle with Champagne which is still going on.
Barolo, Barbaresco, the Langhe area. But also Asti, Gattinara, Bramaterra, Carema and a lot of different styles and producers.
