Chateau Malartic Lagraviere is located about 15 km from Bordeaux City. The winery was started in the 18th century, when it was know as Domaine De La Graviere (named after the gravel soils). In 1850, the winery was renamed to Malartic Lagraviere (Malartic was a famous French Navy Admiral). In 1990, it was purchased by Laurent Perrier (champagne house) and then sold to the Bonnie family 1997. It is currently run by Severine & Jean Jacques Bonnie.

Malartic Lagraviere produces red and white wines and is only 1 of 6 Graves wineries that got Grand Cru Classe designation for both their red and white wines in the 1959 Graves Classification.

The winery has 17 hectares of land used to produce their white wines. It is planted with 80% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Semillon, producing 2000 cases annually. Michel Rolland is their wine consultant and the winery also owns Diamandes in Argentina (which is part of the collection of wineries that produce Clos de los Siete.
