Welcome to Episode 5 of How to Pick a Wine? In this episode I set out to buy a left bank Bordeaux and a California Cabernet Sauvignon. But I only found one left bank Bordeaux and it was cheap at $6.99 so I bought that but now could I find a California Cab for that price? Ah….no. But a scrappy little wine from Bulgaria was offered for $6.99 so here we go.
In episode 6 I’ll taste these two wines and give them a score and to not leave California out in the rain, I bought two California Cabs and will compare them in Episode 7.
The four wines I chose, if you want to taste along with me are:
Kirkland Bordeaux Superior and the Rough Day Bulgarian Cab both for $6.99
I also purchased the Kirkland Signature Series Napa Cab and the Daou Cab from Paso Robles both for $19.99. I’ll do a tasting of these wine in Episode 7.
