This classic French Quiche Lorraine is one of the staples of the Classic French cuisine. Great hot or barely warm. Enjoy!
Here are the ingredients for a 10,5″ or 26 cm quiche:
– 3 whole eggs
– 3 egg yolks
– pre-made tart pastry
– Half cup of milk or liquid cream
– 150 grams or 6 oz of lardons (or sliced bacon)
– 1 chopped medium onion (optional)
– nutmeg, salt, pepper
Cooking instructions:
– Place the pastry in a baking dish, make holes with a fork and set aside
– Fry the lardons (bacon) and onions until tender
– Beat the eggs, add salt, pepper, nutmeg
– Add milk or liquid cream
– Incorporate lardons or bacon with the eggs
– Pour the egg mixture in a pastry dish
– Bake for 40-45 minutes in a preheated oven at 180°C or 350°F
– Enjoy hot right away or barely reheated later on, it’s delicious either way!
