ALAIN DUCASSE AT THE DORCHESTER LONDON- is a three Michelin stars serving French cuisine based at the Dorchester hotel in Mayfair London, England.
Thank you Jamie for the belated Valentine’s Day meal @Alain Ducasse it was certainly a memorable fine dining experience.
I cannot fault it , service was second to none top class waiting staff friendly but very professional that made us feel comfortable and welcome.
We chose the three course menu but altogether came with so many elements it was more like 7 or more. There were canapés before the starter and a first and second part for its courses all very delicious.
STARTERS : my starter came in two parts I had the cauliflower cooked in brioche with black truffle and Jamie had two way Jerusalem artichokes in delicate Kristal caviar cream. I’ve never had cauliflower cooked this tasty and Jamie said his starter was his favourite of the meal.
MAIN COURSE:
Jamie had the lobster medallion, chicken quenelles, Perigord truffle and homemade semolina pasta. I had the roasted line-caught turbot, salsify razor clams and black garlic.
The dashi consommé was flavoursome and very delicious served to cleanse my palate ready for the dessert.
DESSERT :I had the pineapple galanga sorbet kombu condiment (served in two parts) and Jamie had the chocolate served three ways. I’ve learnt something ‘galanga’ is ginger .
Overall an excellent fine dining experience worthy of its three Michelin stars and a great evening. Live music at the hotel lobby was lovely to watch.
