The Whiskey Crusaders review Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Heavily Peated Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky which comes in at 100 proof. This whisky is made, distilled, matured, and bottled all on Islay, everything is done by hand manually as there are no computers involved to make this whisky. It is watched over daily by the team at Bruichladdich. Port Charlotte is on the shore of Islay 2 miles south of Bruichladdich. Port Charlotte 10 year is 40PPM made with 100% Scottish Barley from the Invernesshire Region. It is 65% 1st fill American whiskey casks, 10% 2nd fill American whiskey casks, 25% 2nd fill French wine casks, bottled on site with Islay spring water, non-chill filtered and no coloring. Its ages for 10 years on the shores of Loch Indaal. They employ 2.5% of the isle with over 80 employees.
This bottle was given to us by Bruichladdich for an event back in 2018 for review with no strings attached.
