Hello again, and welcome to Dinner From the Dining Car. This, folks, is a FANTASTIC apple pie! Best I’ve ever made!

it’s a old recipe, courtesy of the late Henry Ibsch, who was the head baker at the Harvey House in Union Station in Los Angeles. It was a HUGE hit at the Harvey House eatery, and let me tell you – after making THIS pie, I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND!!

The recipe calls for tart apples, such as Granny Smith, but we used Honeycrisp apples instead. What a great choice for this pie!!!

Thanks for watching, and as usual, please smash that “LIke” button, and if you haven’t already, please subscribe! And as always, for questions, comment or a copy of the recipe, please email me at dinnerfromthediningcar@yahoo.com
