This was a custom request that @sassygrrl1 made a few days before Christmas!

I realize, of course, that Christmas was nearly a month ago, but here’s the thing: despite the majority of the lyrics ostensibly being about that holiday, “White Wine In The Sun” is actually about something quite different.

If you’re familiar with this song (which I definitely wasn’t), you know what I mean. If it’s new to you, I’ll just say this: For a good portion of this track, you’ll be sure you know where this is going. And then suddenly, you’ll realize you’re actually somewhere else entirely. Some of the lyrics are among the most beautiful I can remember ever hearing.

That’s gonna be hard to believe – trust me, though. This is the first song I’ve heard by Tim Minchin, but it certainly won’t be the last.

If you’re interested in a little behind-the-scenes for this song, Inside The Triple Llama Episode 11 (posted yesterday) can help you out! My thanks to Jaime for requesting it, Sean for the awesome mixing job, and all y’all for your support!
