Hello friends!
Today I bring you a review of a recipe I’ve been dying to try out! I personally love french toast lattes and ever since I had it at a local coffee shop in NY called Salt City Coffee, I have been in search of the recipe to create it at home. So when I saw Monin’s recipe, I decided it was time to invest in their syrups (first time trying them but always hear great things about them) and try their recipe using my Nespresso Vertuo Next.
My taste palette ranges from Americano to Vanilla latte (very boring I know) simply because I try to reduce my sugar intake as I’m pre-diabetic. Therefore I reduce my sugar from milks and extra add-ons like whipped cream.
The recipe is as follows:
1. 1/2 oz of monin cinnamon syrup
2. 1/2 oz of monin toasted marshmallow syrup
3. 1/2 cup – 1 cup of milk of your choice
4. Nespresso pod – Double espresso chiaro (contains 2 shots of espresso)
4. Cinnamon (optional)
5. Whipped cream (optional)
*** 1 pump = 1/4 oz therefore 2 pumps = 1/2 oz***
Overall, this recipe wasn’t too sweet so it was great for my palette! It definitely has room to make it sweeter if that’s what you prefer!
Let me know if you have any questions in the comments or suggestions on how to get better slowly but surely I’ll get better 🙂
Xoxo
Suzy
