Nothing is better than a heaping bowl of Steam Mussels. French Steamed Mussels aka Mussels Meuniere have to be my favorite! The smell of garlic, butter, and white wine boiling away will make any mouth drool. If you are a seafood lover like me, then you’ll love this Mussels Recipe!

Ingredients:
– 2lbs fresh mussels, cleaned
– 1cup white wine
– 1/4cup heavy cream
– 4tbsp butter
– fresh parsley, rough chopped
– 1 large shallot, sliced
– 4-5 cloves garlic, rough chopped
– 2tbsp olive oil
– salt & pepper, to taste
– French bread, toasted
Directions:
Preheat a pot to medium high heat. Sauté the shallots and garlic in olive oil and 2tbsp of butter until soft. Add the mussels and white wine and bring to a boil. Cover and cook for 4-5 minutes or until the mussels have fully opened. Remove the mussels and place into serving bowl. Add the the cream, remaining 2tbsp of butter and parsley and bring to a boil. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Pour the juice over the mussels. Serve with the toasted French bread.
