Day 20 finds us in the French countryside somewhere….tasting this Cotes du Rhone clone, Grenache and Syrah blend. We can’t call it a Cotes du Rhone because it’s not labeled that, so…it must not be from there. But this wine is obviously copying the style. Big, bold, structured – that’s what Cotes du Rhone wines taste like. Will this one be like that or not? Is it a true clone?

We put this bottle through its paces on the tasting chart and come up with a score. Join me, David Devere, Minnesota’s first licensed wine educator, as we open a bottle from this clever advent calendar each day from December 1st to 24th. While I’m not expecting the best wines in the world it does give me an opportunity to teach you about wine appreciation while having fun growing a wine community here on Youtube. Cheers!
