This quick recipe will show how to make delicious French custard tartlets. Puff pastry casings which filled with a homemade vanilla and rum flavored French custard.

Once you have made your French custard it is just a matter of filling up some puff pastry casing with the pastry cream and bake it for 30 minutes.
I have learned the hard that you should put a little of pastry cream in teh casing ( roughly halfway up) to avoid the cream overflowing everywhere.
That French mini dessert (similar to the portuguese tarts) will have you come back for more. it is a quick and easy sweet treat to make so why not give it a go.
