An afternoon of wine tasting || My daily life in the French countryside – One of my (many) favourite things about living in France is being surrounded by delicious food and wine. This week, my parents are visiting for the first time in nearly 3 years (!), so I decided to take them for a wine tasting tour in my local vineyard. Châteaumeillant, a tiny wine AOC slap bang in the centre of France, is where some of my favourite rosé wines come from – which is lucky, because I only live a few minutes’ drive away! Almost unheard of outside of France – and not very well known in France – Châteaumeillant makes the most delicious rosé gris wine (a very light pink rosé). It’s actually part of the Loire Valley wines but as it’s quite far away from the others, most people who visit the Loire Valley never venture this far. If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend that you try some of the wine – it is worth making a detour for.

Subscribe to my channel so you never miss a video! I’ll share my slow living videos and chat to you about my new life living in France in the countryside – with lots of stunning shots of France and French culture that you won’t want to miss. I’ll also share some home improvement tips and tricks and how-to videos, as well as tips on how to live on a budget in the countryside in France. Plus, my new series ‘New Lives in France’, where I chat with people who have made the move to start a new life in France, will go out once a month. I hope this will inspire you! With guest appearances from my chickens and cats, of course!
