Day 3 of this Wine Adventure finds us with an iconic French summer wine, Sauvignon Blanc. Sauvignon Blanc is an aromatic, high acid wine that pairs well with goat cheese and salads. How does this one rate compared to the examples set by France’s most famous Sauvignon Blanc region, Sancerre?
We put this bottle through its paces on the tasting chart and come up with a score. Join me, David Devere, Minnesota’s first licensed wine educator, as we open a bottle from this clever advent calendar each day from December 1st to 24th. While I’m not expecting the best wines in the world it does give me an opportunity to teach you about wine appreciation while having fun growing a wine community here on Youtube. Cheers!
To try a very good example of a Sancerre wine look for Sophie Bertin in your local store. This to me is classic Sancerre. Buy the youngest one they have. Sancerre doesn’t age well.
