This antique French buffet is a work of art. Crafted in France circa the late 19th century or early 20th century, it has been beautifully preserved and would make a great fit in all sorts of home decor setups.
This piece of furniture was created in the Renaissance style. The name of this style can be slightly misleading. While it was originally conceived during the Renaissance period, some of the finest pieces in this category were crafted hundreds of years later. This just gave craftsmen time to perfect it!
This specific antique sideboard was crafted from walnut. Hand carved in solid walnut, you’ll notice that beautiful carvings across its entirety. Notice the neoclassical motifs in these carvings. This sort of solid wood carving is the mark of an expert craftsman. Not only does the Renaissance style buffet look amazing, but its also practical in that it provides plenty of storage space.
