Walking a section of the Camino de Santiago was something I had been looking forward to for many years. However, I wasn’t sure what to expect nor did I know truly why I was doing it. It ended up being very different from what I expected, but I think this may be the case for many people who take on the journey. For me, The Way was a great time to remind myself just how wonderful life can be with all it’s tiny little miracles that happen each day. Taking the time to just walk and think of little else is truly a way to set your mind free. Of course, a little bread and wine also help.

I will be returning in April 2020 to walk from Lisbon to Santiago in Portugal – taking 40 days to do so.
