Buffets and cruises go hand in hand. Celebrity Cruises food does not disappoint at the Oceanview Cafe which is the buffet on board. We are going to tell you everything you need to know about Celebrity Cruise buffet including what we liked and didn’t like about our experience.
We were sailing on Celebrity Cruises Edge which is one of the newest ships in their fleet. Oceanview cafe is a casual dining location with an international feel in terms of food and decor. The floor to ceiling windows allow lots of natural light and you can enjoy the views while sailing or at port. There are a variety of seating options including high table booths, tables for two or more and as you walk through the buffet the types of chairs change. There is also outdoor seating at the very aft of the ship so you can take your meal outside and enjoy the fresh air. We enjoy doing Celebrity Cruise food reviews and this location did not disappoint. You really get the international market feeling in the food service area. There is one large buffet in the middle which serves the entire dining area. This is nice as it allows for a lot of variety and food from different areas of the world.
We get asked often with Celebrity Cruises what’s included and this terrific buffet is included in your cruise fair. The Oceanview Cafe is located on deck 14 which is the pool deck. This is a typical location for buffets as it is a popular breakfast and lunch spot before relaxing at the pool.You can also find Secondo Bacio here, and these drinks are an additional charge unless you have a drink package. You can get specialty coffees, fresh squeezed juices and alcoholic beverages here.
One of the most important parts of our Celebrity Cruises buffet review is the menu. The size of the buffet allows for a lot of variety as well as different fresh made options. As we stated the Oceanview cafe is open for breakfast, lunch, tea time and dinner. For breakfast it is a typical continental breakfast with hot and cold options. For lunch you really start to see the international flavours. You can enjoy, made to order pasta, and stir fry. There was a Latin station as well as a salad bar and custom sandwich location. For lunch a lot of people enjoyed the grilled favourites where you can get burgers, hot dogs and french fries. This has proven to be a popular location for Celebrity Cruises passengers to enjoy a fresh and quick meal.
