If you’re looking for a fine dining restaurant in Franeker visit De Stadsherberg. The location and the ambiance of the restaurant are really great. It was our first time there and we were seated facing the canal. The selection of wines is limited, the wine selections they have were an excellent choice. The food service is efficient. The staff is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is very relaxing. We had 2 portions of escargots in different types of cooking as a starter. We had the Zeewolf (wolffish) & Paling (eel) for the Main course, and we shared the Friese Wentelteefjes (Frisian French Toast) and we had the excellent white wine (Meursault).
