A tour of Carnival’s Mardi Gras. This is the first-ever Excellence-class ship that was built for Carnival Cruise Line, complete with BOLT the first roller coaster at sea.

At 180,000 gross registered tons, and a guest capacity of over 5,000, Mardi Gras is a departure for Carnival. The ship has six different themed zones, new dining and bars, along with an exclusive Loft 19 retreat at the very top of the ship for Excel suite guests.

The cruise ship includes new food venues Celebrity Chef Emeril Lagasse with Emeril’s Bistro 1396, and former NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal’s Big Chicken. Carnival Cruise Line has also built on its partnership with Food Network TV star Guy Fieri to include the largest Guy’s Burger Joint (now serving breakfast) and Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse | Brewhouse at sea.
