The Air France lounge in Terminal 2 of Frankfurt’s International Airport is accessible to Priority Pass holders. I visited this lounge in July 2021 and I wanted to know how French a lounge in the middle of Chleuh* Country can get. Let’s just say that I was really surprised 😉
* Chleuh is a slang word used by the French to talk about Germans during and after the 2nd World War. It’s no longer much used though the French still know what it means.
Funny story: During my lounge visit, I asked the French middle age lounge agent (in German) if they have Champagne. He said yes and brought a bottle of sparkling wine. I’m almost 100 percent sure that he would have answered with no if a French had asked because in France people generally distinguish between Champagne and sparkling wine (or Mousseux), contrary to other countries, like Germany. For Germans, it’s kind of the same.
