My Mum’s way of making french toast for me!
This is the sweet version.

Recipe french toast
Ingredients
Bread slices 4
1 egg
½cup milk
1 tsp cardamom powder
A pinch of saffron
2 ½tbsp sugar
Butter for pan frying
Method
1. Apart from the bread mix all the ingredients and whisk well until the egg is well beaten and incorporated and the sugar is dissolved.
2. Soak the bread slices in the egg mixture.
3. In a Tawa, melt the butter and fry the soaked bread slices on low flame until light golden and the egg is thoroughly cooked.
4. They will puff up a bit once cooked.
5. Enjoy your french toast.
