Anna will introduce the basic characteristics of syrah, the history of the variety and the styles of wine it can produce. Then we’ll travel the world, showing just what the grape is capable of, beginning in the Rhône Valley where it rules supreme in the north and is a notable blending partner in the south. Then we will be visiting other corners of the world, such as Chile and South Africa before it’s time to visit Australia – the country that made this grape even more widely appreciated.
