Yesterday I cooked a recipe that is included in the Recipe guide of the slow cooker that I bought. Later I found out that it is a Classic French Dish with the use of red wine.
Here are the ingredients:
-Any part of Beef (For my recipe, I used Beef Ribs)
-Onion
-Garlic
-Bacon
-2 cups of Red / Burgundy Wine
-Thyme
-3 tbsp of flour
-Salt and Pepper
-Beef Cubes 3pcs
-1 1/2 cup of water
-2 tbsp of Tomato paste
-Carrots
-Small Potatoes
-Mushrooms (Canned or Fresh)
-Thyme
– Bay Leaf (1pc)
Steps:
1. Coat Beef with flour, salt, pepper and thyme
2. Sauté Bacon on a separate pan (use of gas or electric stove). Then Set Aside
3. Then sauté garlic and onion
4. Add bacon and beef
5. Set Aside
6. Prepare your slow cooker
7. Put the meat and the sautéed garlic, onion and bacon
8. Add Carrots, Potatoes
9. Add Tomato Paste, Red wine, Water
10. Add Beef Cubes, Thyme, Bay Leaf
11. Salt and Pepper to taste
12. Close the lid but DO NOT LOCK IT
13. Set on HIGH Temperature for 7 Hours
14. Serve (Servings for 3-4 pax)
