Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
½ cup unsalted butter
2 tbsp glucose or light corn syrup
1 pc Campagne bread, thickly sliced into 8
6 eggs
1½ cups milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp salt
To serve:
Maple or pancake syrup
Ice cream of your choice
⬇️ How to make Easy Baked French Toast ⬇️
0:10 Grease a 15-inch baking casserole or any baking casserole of choice.
0:13 In a saucepot, combine brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup.
0:26 Bring to a full boil, then reduce heat to medium and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until thickened. Set aside.
0:36 Place bread evenly in the greased casserole, then pour your hot caramel around the bread. Spread evenly.
0:55 Beat the remaining ingredients and pour the mixture over the bread.
1:26 Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, best if overnight.
1:32 Preheat your oven to 300 degrees F.
