▶ List of ingredients :

– 100g (3.5oz) of smocked herring per person
– 1 potato per person
– Onion at your convenience
– Sunflower oil
– Dijon mustard
– White wine vinegar
– Chive
– Lemon
– Salt and pepper

▶ Tips :

Don’t wait until the potatoes are cold.
Serve when lukewarm, it will be better 😉

Don’t use american mustard but French Dijon mustard 😊

▶ History :

Hareng pomme à l’huile was introduce in French bistrot in the beginning of XXe and was very popular in the middle of XXe, cheap and easy to cook for worker.
