Make desserts or afternoon tea sessions as sweet as this meringue recipe made from fluffy egg whites and mixed with desiccated coconuts! These French kisses are baked sweet and crunchy and very easy to make. You can even use a few drops of your desired food coloring to transform these kisses as you please!

Ingredients:
3 egg whites at room temperature
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp cream of tartar
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp orange extract
1¼ cups desiccated coconut
All-purpose flour for dusting
food coloring of your choice, few drops

0:09 Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Grease your baking sheet with cooking spray & dust with flour.
0:32 Place the egg whites, cream of tartar, & salt in a large mixing bowl. Beat until the whites are stiff.
0:47 Slowly add the sugar, while beating constantly.
1:02 Fold in food coloring, orange extract, and coconut until evenly incorporated.
1:24 Transfer to a tipped piping bag and pipe your mixture onto your baking sheet, at least an inch apart from each other.
1:33 Transfer to the oven & bake for about 30 minutes. Turn the oven off and let the kisses sit in the oven for at least 1½ hours to cool down. This will prevent cooked kisses from deflating.
1:43 Serve this together with your favorite morning coffee or afternoon tea.
