This recipe is my own rendition of braised red wine chicken or known as Coq Au Vin.
When I was running my wine lounge, we always have leftover wine and this is one of my favorite recipe when I would like to whip up a warm and rich chicken meal.
I’m a self taught chef hence this recipe is no where near the original French recipe, but if you would like a simple recipe using simple ingredients and simply against pouring leftover-wine down the drain, this recipe might be suitable for you.
After all in this lockdown, we shouldn’t let things go to waste, right?
Coq Au Vin Recipe (No Chicken Stock)
4 pieces of chicken thigh
1 piece of carrot
1 whole white onion
1 packet of brown mushroom
1 packet of ham chips
1 glass of red wine (you can always put more )
Salt and Pepper to taste
