In this video, I’m making a fortified rice wine called Gwahaju. This wine was invented to prevent the drink from turning sour in the summer when it is hot. It has similarities to the Port wine or the French sherry wine in a sense that a distilled liquor is added to the wine to act as a preservative.

Ingredients
800 g Sweet rice
100g Nuruk
850ml Water
Vodka 1.5L, and 0.5L of water for the liquor solution
