A Welsh wine importer has been explaining how his industry has suffered a net loss from brexit. Some of the features are particular to the wine industry, but several apply to the trade in food and drink in general and even other goods. Brexit didn’t have teething problems, it raised trade barriers that will not be lowered until we change our direction.
