The story of this winery begin in 1943 when Aurelio’s parents settled in the Annunziata. They were farmers who not only grew grapes, but also fruit and hazelnuts as well as breeding animals. The grapes produced were mostly sold to large wineries with , and a small amount used to produce wine for family consumption.
At the end of the 1950s, Aurelio’s father (Domenico) began bottling some of the wine under the label Settimo Domenico label. Domenico passed away in 1962 so Aurelio started producing wine under his label, Aurelio Settimo. Up until 1974, 50% of the grapes grown on the estate continued to be sold to the other wineries. But since the 1974, all of the grapes grown on the estate are now used for Aurelio Settimo wines. Since the death of Aurelio in 2007, his daughter Tiziana has been running the business.
Aurelio’s holdings in Rocche Dell Aunnuziata is around 14 acres in size.
