From the boarder of Spain and France, continuing up to Argelès-sur-Mer this last stretch of French Mediterranean coastline is among the top places to visit seaside in France.
Hiking, Boating, Snorkeling , Scuba Diving this stretch of rocky cliffs and capes is a must visit area for a wide array of sports enthusiasts.
It’s nature intense……so if you are more into shopping and more Babylonian experience…… go to St Tropez or Cannes instead!
Their are 5 Villages along the 32 KM coastline:
Cerbère, Banyuls-sur-mer, Collioure, Port Vendres and Argelès-sur-Mer.
All of which have their own charm and highlights.
The region is littered with scenic restaurants and local Catalonian specialties. To top it off it this costal stretch is also a large wine producer with their own unique Banyuls wine.
We recommend spending several nights to be able to soak in all the area has to offer. There is one road that connects the coastline so navigating the area is very easy.
Plenty of B&B and Airbnb to choose from, don’t bother with an hotel.
You can also find loads of areas to park camping cars and RV’s for FREE. All with epic scenic views of the sea. This one of very few places where that is possible in France. All the Cape’s offer some type of area where you can easily park hassle free and spend the night.
