Also known as glühwein, vino caliente, glögg, vin brulé, bisschopswijn, vin chaud, candola, vinho quente…or literally a hundred other names, depending on where in the world life may find you. Needless to say, it seems like just about everyone in the world loves some hot wine.
Mulled wine should be served in heatproof glasses or other receptacles that can resist heat. You don’t have to serve it at boiling point so make sure it has cooled a little before transferring it to glasses. Mulled wine is a term used to describe wine, usually, a red variety, infused with spices and served warm. Mulled wine is popular throughout Europe and has been served during the winter months for centuries. Depending on the country of origin, mulled wine may go by different names such as Glogg (Sweden), Vin Chaud (France), or Glühwein (Germany).
