Caramelized Pear Walnut French Toast
A delicious start of the day with this special french toast recipe!
Perfect for Father’s Day!!
INGREDIENTS
* 4 Bread slices
* 1 Egg
* 1/4 cup Milk
* 1-2 Tbsp sugar
* 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
For the caramelized pears:
* 1 Pear
* 1 teaspoon butter
* 1 teaspoon Milk
* 1 tablespoon brown sugar
* a pinch Salt – optional
To garnish:
* Chopped walnuts
* Maple syrup – optional
Instructions
* in a pan let the sugar melt at medium-low heat, then add a teaspoon of butter and one of milk Wait until you obtain a thick caramel sauce
* Cut the pear in half clean the seeds. Caramel pear in the sauce
* Set aside to cool down.
To make the french toast batter:
* In a bowl combine egg, sugar, milk and vanilla extract. Whisk.
* Grease a pan with some oil and butter.
* Soak the each slice of bread then cook them at medium heat for about 1 or 2 minutes each side or until golden brown.
* Garnish with pear, walnuts and maple syrup.
