My friend Jennifer loves the movie “Call Me by Your Name,” especially the scenes of the family dining outside – the food, the casual elegance…so we decided to pretend we were at my place in France and re-create one of those scenes for breakfast on the chateau’s terrace, starring her as Marzia and me as Oliver…the later years…much later. As morning breaks, we’ll enjoy making plans over scones from A Game of Scones, soft-boiled eggs, buttered toast, salmon with capers, and yogurt with fresh berries, and learn about regional specialties of French cuisine and the art of eating French. Be sure to watch future episodes for full cooking classes led by my friend Shawnie, who happens to be a professional French chef.
