What is an Opera Cake? It’s a rich French dessert, that uses one of the most loved flavor combinations, chocolate and coffee. It includes a total of six layers made of light almond sponge cake (joconde in French), coffee buttercream, and dark chocolate ganache, and it’s all topped with a chocolate glaze. This cake is perfect for all chocolate and coffee lovers! I always imagine myself eating this cake when reading a book at a cute little shop.
