I didn’t know what to expect when I visited Toasty’s Tavern on Shelby Street, but discovering their burgers rank right up there with Bambi Bar and Weekend Burgers was an extremely pleasant surprise, to say the least. My burger spilled way out of the bun, and the edges were crispy like a good smash burger should be. It was topped with lettuce, grilled onion, pickles, sharp American cheese, and Toasty’s sauce. Of course, I ordered the double, and it was messy, juicy and perfect. Even the fries were better than most-batter dipped and crispy. When you go, be sure to order some fry sauce, and as always, thanks for supporting our local restaurants!
