Very easy and quick to make! This french bread called Baguettes is very popular in france and is daily staple for french people. This recipe makes 3 baguettes
Ingredients:
225ml warm water (1cup)
3tbsp sugar
31gr yeast (1,09 oz)
450gr Gluten free flour all purpose (3 5/8cup)
1tsp xanthan gum
1tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
3 egg whites room temperature
3 tbsp olive oil
1&half tsp apple cider vinegar
In a bowl mix warm water with sugar and yeast and leave on side. In a small bowl add 3egg whites, apple cider and olive oil and mix a little with fork. In a big bowl mix flour, salt, baking powder and xanthan gum. Add both bowls of wet ingredients and mix untill it becomes a dough. Spread a bit of olive oil on baking tray for baguettes and then sprinkel flour on it so bread doesnt stick. Separate dough in 3 parts and roll each in baguettes shape. Coat a bit of olive oil on plastic foil and cover baguettes. Leave it in warm place for 1h and half or till it double in size. Sprinkel a bit flour above. Put tray with baguettes up and another tray with hot water under so it cooks on steam. Steam goes through little holes of baking tray which makes baguettes soft in middle with crunchy crust! Bake for 20-25minutes on 180°C/360°F. Hope you like them as much as i do!
