The Hazard family has owned the farm since the 18th century, then with grain and cattle, but in 1970 the family decided to plant vines on seven acres. It quickly became the preferred farm, and today Champagne Paul Hazard repeatedly delivers award-winning Champagnes to buyers from around the world.

The winery is run by the grandchildren Philippe and Frédéric, who have really put the world map products. In 1992, they decided to change the name to Champagne Paul Hazard in honor of their father, who passed away the same year.
