Philippe Pain founded Domaine de la Commanderie in 1982. Here in Chinon, he grows characterful red, white and rosé wines with his daughter Clothilde and sister Honorine.
Domaine de la Commanderie produces on its own vineyard and with its own vines so that wines can be created that express the local “terroir” in the very best way. It is a dynamic family-run winery that combines joy and professionalism, intending to remain accessible and authentic and true to family values. The vineyard produces a wide range of Chinon: seductive easy-drinking rosé, good red wines and crisp white wines.
