French Recipe GRATIN DAUPHINOIS (Melting potatoes)
I’m French and it’s the best French recipe believe me.
There is no THE real recipe of gratin Dauphinois! It’s a bit like tomato sauce for Italians. But here I offer you the best version that exists and that family and friends have adopted! It does not include nutmeg because it is optional and it’s good because everyone does not appreciate its taste! You can add some if you wish. Same for milk, you can very well make half milk, half cream but it’s useless because this recipe in the mouth ♥
Ingredients (for 6 people):
– 800 gr of potatoes
– salt and pepper
-1 egg
– 1/2 liter of milk
– 140gr cheese cheddar
– garlic
– 60 gr of butter
