Recorded 4/3 – We’ve finally come to the Mecca of wine, where Napoleon made France the beacon of viticulture and oenophilia….Bordeaux. Since there’s such a bounty of wines from this region, it’d be tough to find the same wines in every store across the country. So this time it’s going to be a little bit of show-and-tell and treasure hunt combined. I’m going to give 4 regions and the wine to get from it, it’ll be up to you to find ones that meet the same standard
Wines:
Entre-Deux-Mers – Sauvignon Blanc or Bordeaux Blanc
Medoc – Bordeaux red blend
St. Emilion/Pomerol – Bordeaux red blend
Graves – Sauternes
Suggested pairings – herbed goat cheese, gorgonzola blue cheese, lamb, arugula with vinegarette
