Christophe Muret once was the biggest melon importer to the UK, but decided that he felt his talents were put to better use and moved to Picpoul de Pinet and focuses on minimal intervention #winemaking.
He believes in #organicfarming and doesn’t like to interfere in the #winemaking process.
This Picpoul is tasty, fun and full of fresh peaches, apricots and nectarine. It has an orchard fruit character too and this lemon zest aroma. I enjoy the floral nature of the wine with an intense mineral and yeasty character too.
On the palate its dry, medium bodied with a high acidity, and all of those fruits from the nose, but also plenty of tart, bitter characters too.
I feel its a really fun wine, great for the summer months and for those who want to try something different, its worth a go.
